I'm a British freelance translator living in Pensacola, Florida.

I translate from Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese into English, and I also do English copywriting and editing.

I have a degree in modern languages from Jesus College, Cambridge, and I've been in the business full-time since 1988.

I can handle anything that's not highly technical.  Patents, pharmacology, particle physics? No thanks. Anything else? No problem.

I also offer book translations. I have twenty-seven to my credit, mainly nonffiction, on subjects ranging from Laurel and Hardy to pinball machines.  I've done some children's fiction, which I particularly enjoy because it requires a high degree of creative input.

I have to admit that computers make a pretty good job of translation these days.
